Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 17, 2026
BlinkLit ("the app") is a reading application developed by Sr. Crema de Coco ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app handles and how. Our guiding principle is simple: your reading data stays with you. We do not run analytics servers and we do not sell or share your personal data.
1. Data stored on your device
Your library (imported books), reading progress, bookmarks, settings and appearance preferences are stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device unless you turn on optional cloud sync.
2. Optional Google Drive sync
-
If you sign in with Google, the app requests only the
drive.filescope. This means the app can only see and manage the files it creates in your Drive — it cannot read your other documents, photos or files. - Your synced library, progress and settings are stored in your own Google Drive account, not on our servers. We never receive a copy of your books or reading data.
- We read your Google account's email address to display which account is connected and to tie your Pro license to that account (see below).
3. Purchases and your Pro license
- Payments are processed entirely by Google Play. We never receive or store your payment card details.
- When you buy BlinkLit Pro, your email address is the only piece of data we store. It is saved on our licensing backend (Cloudflare) solely to issue your signed Pro license and to let you restore it on your other devices. The license is tied to that email so it cannot be shared. We store nothing else — not your books, not your reading activity, nothing about how you read.
4. Third-party services
- Google — sign-in and Drive sync (only when you opt in).
- Google Play — payment processing for Pro.
- Cloudflare — our licensing backend, which stores only your Pro license email.
These providers handle your data under their own privacy policies.
5. Data retention and deletion
You are in full control of your data. To delete it:
- Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
- To remove synced data, sign in, sign out, or delete the BlinkLit files from your Google Drive (they live in the app's own folder).
- You can revoke the app's access at any time from your Google Account's connected-apps settings.
- To delete the email tied to your Pro license from our licensing backend, email blinklitofficial@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion request". We delete it within 30 days. Full steps are on our Data Deletion page.
6. Children's privacy
BlinkLit is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
